I keep seeing the woman throwing her little temper tantrum during the immigration meeting for Prince William county. ' IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT MY FAMILY WILL BE SEPERATED. THAT I HAVE TO LEAVE MY BOY BEHIND." Would someone please tell this woman that it is HER fault that she came over here illegally. That she stayed over here illegally. That SHE diecided to breed here in hopes that because her child was born here that she would get to stay? YOU ARE A CRIMINAL LADY. You can no longer pick and choose what laws to obey. We have that law for a reason. You broke it. Get out. And take your son with you if you are so upset with leaving him behind.

And to the other woman who said "I am ashamed to say I live in Prince William county now" Well, then... GET OUT. You should be thankful that your county is trying to uphold the laws. You want to side with the illeagals and defend criminals so bad, leave along with them

that comment "separating families" is gettin' a bit worn and nonsensical ...I know of no citizen or for that fact any government provision that obstructs / forbids ILLEGALS from returning to their homeland without their entire family ...what in he=l is the woman talkin' about and why does the media keep including these remarks in their coverage presentations ...they don't even set the record straight when it's said...

I swear I remember reading an article in the Post several months ago (when Congress was discussing Immigration Reform) that said that if the parents were illegal and the child was born in the US - they ALL would still be deported unless the child had some sort of health condition that could not be treated in their home country. The law was to cover the pleas of you can't seperate me from my child and I believe at the age of 18 the child could then return to the US as they would still have their citizenship. Maybe it was just a proposed law.

I am still waiting for someone to explain to me how it is possible to use illegal and rights in the same sentence and make sense.

Yes, I am sick of the news always showing the ILLEGALS putting on their drama shows, but they don't ever show the CITIZENS talking about how these ILLEGALS are causing us all a hardship. God, I can't wait to see the moving trucks in my neighborhood. Goodbye, so long , and good riddance to the blight that has taken over this county.

What is it with all the intellectually challenged Illegals. It proves my point about them being the dregs of the earth. They couldn't succeed their so they come HERE?? Without brains, the ability to speak english, or a green card. Yep, looks STUPID to me. Go home you Illegal IDIOTS!

va2997...could it be that Congress was considering assurance to ILLEGALS that the USA would enable the entire family to return to their homeland including even those among their families whose ILLEGAL parents / women stole into our nation while expecting the birth of a family member after they found a community here to conceal themselves in ...or... after stealing into the USA found it as important as the poverty ridden circumstances they brought with them, decided to aggravate their plight in life by adding one more mouth (two more, three more) to feed and house ??? …what is the point in telling’ us about what you swear you believe you remember reading’ up on ?????

As far as these families of illegal aliens being separated, give me a break. I heard this same garbage when Lorton was closed and the inmates were transferred to another facility miles and miles away. The inmates' families were going on and on about how they wouldn't be able to visit their "loved ones". Oh well. If those inmates hadn't commited the crime, they wouldn't be incarcerated.

Same for the illegal immigrants..If they hadn't committed the crime of being here illegally, they wouldn't have to be sent back home and separated from their family.

beagle_buddy - The point of my statement was it doesn't matter if someone here illegally has a child born in the US. Much of the news drama is as Kelly point out that you hear parents say they will be sepearted from their children because there children are US citizens. Too bad - these parents knowningly came into the US ILLEGALLY - they didn't just magically appear and then have a child. I don't think it is acceptable that because there child is here that the ILLEGAL parent gets to stay. Right now the way our laws are written is we could not deport a US born child even if there parents are illegal. If someone is trying to change that law I'm all for it and as I mentioned I thought there was some talk of doing it.

If you don't like my post - then skip over it. This is Kelly's blog and that's who we should be responding too.

I don't understand the ILLEGALS from any country yelling about discrimination. If anyone "slipped" into their countries illegally, they would be deported and most likely after spending time in one their jails. Why does anyone defend the rights of someone who is in this country illegally, who didn't do it the way their LEGAL immigrant neighbor did it. Why should their children be granted in-state tuition at universities? I think that anyone defending the "rights" of someone here illegally should be deported along with them. See how they get treated when they get to Mexico, El Salvador or any other country. I can guarantee that they wouldn't be given a damn thing, not a job, not health care, not education and certainly not welfare to take care of babies born there.

Maybe if there were fewer illegal aliens getting social services then the AMERICANS might actually get a little help. I know MY family could use a little help, as with the other 50% of Americans who don't have sufficient health insurance, etc.

[I swear I remember reading an article in the Post several months ago (when Congress was discussing Immigration Reform) that said that if the parents were illegal and the child was born in the US - they ALL would still be deported ]

va2007, I wish that were possible but it would be a legal nightmare. They did point out that the parents could either find someone to raise their children here or they could take them with them and that as citizens, the children could re-enter when they turned 18. But there is no way that they could deport the kids and there is no bill that could propose that could easily change this anchor baby mess (many of us agree that our forefathers never intended the 14th amendment to be abused this way) the only thing that can fix that fiasco is a constitutional amendment to close this anchor baby loophole and constitutional amendments don't come easy...

(continued) But you are right, there has been talk of a constitutional amendment.
