I am a regular blogger on this site, and I am truly saddened by the news of the untimely death of Sean Taylor. It is a shame that we live in a society that doesn't place any value on life. Whether we're Redskins, Cowboys or fans of another team, I think we're all affected by this in someway shape or form. My heart and prayers are with the Taylor family and the Washington Redskins organization. He was a gifted, talented athlete and a loving father to his daughter. May God comfort his immediate and extended family.

Why do you show up at FedEx Field with Cowboys jerseys when they aren't playing??? I mean, SERIOUSLY!! It's just STUPID! Nothing bugs me more than to arrive at FedEx Field every home game and see the few idiots whose team is playing at the SAME TIME, who have probably NEVER been to a Cowboys game or Texas at that, and see a cowgirls jersey. Then again as much as they laugh at Daniel Snyder, they don't mind giving him money!! It's just ridiculous!
Hey Redskins fans, STOP SELLING YOUR TICKETS TO COWBOYS FANS AND WE WON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM!! If that's not going to work, then I need to propose legislation to ban anyone from entering FedEx Field on game day with a cowgirls jersey when they aren't playing. It's annoying as he**!

I've been having a debate with a friend of mine. The Yankees strength and conditioning coach was fired because of the number of hamstring injuries on the team this year. Although his main goal was to develop and implement a conditioning program for the team to follow, was it really his fault that the players didn't adhere to his advice? Hamstrings are tricky injuries...once you pull or strain them, you will have problems for a long time. Maybe the players were not flexible or durable enough to withstand the season. Or, maybe they didn't stretch enough before the game. Is that the coach's fault?
I remember when I was an assistant to the athletic training staff in college, we made sure that each player took the necessary precautions to include pregame stretching and hydration. However, it was up to the player to make sure they did the due diligence as well. I don't know...I was just wondering if anyone had an opinionl

We as fans and season ticket holders who help contribute to this 1.4 billion dollar franchise should be embarrassed right now!! I can't tell you how disappointed, upset, pissed-off, ANGRY, MAD and down right FURIOUS I am with this team!!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! Gone are the days when players were proud of wearing the burgundy & gold...when Dallas week actually meant something!! Instead, we have these overpaid egotistical knuckleheads who just don't care!! I'M SICK OF IT!! I'm tired of buying into the hype...I'm tired of coming to work having to look at Cowboys fans for them to just shake their heads....I'm tired of getting emotionally involved with a team that is just mediocre.
Hey Redskins Park, stop sugar-coating the problems and TELL US THE TRUTH. Stop marketing a team that you think will go to the Super Bowl BEFORE you see the production on the field! Stop giving us fans more heartache!!! I'M SICK OF IT!!!!!

I know it has only been one game, however the results seem to be the same. As diehard fans, we tend to over-hype the team during the offseason hoping to get an outcome that will lead us back to the Superbowl. We hear about offseason pickups and trades which on paper look great. We receive our season ticket invoices and pay the fees by March 31 every year (which by the way went up 40%). Then we get to training camp and witness the team hard at work preparing for our Superbowl year. The local media will make a big deal about it while ESPN and Sports Illustrated will predict us to be in last place in the division. Who should we believe?
Then we get to preseason where the team is "auditioning" potential roster spots. If that's the case, then why do we as season ticket holders have to pay to see someone audition??? Meanwhile, we are told not to worry...the team has it under control...we've only shown 2% of the offense...we know what we're doing...the preseason doesn't mean anything. Well, what did we see last night...an offense that had only sparks of brilliance, a defense that seemed to weaken even though our top corner and backup didn't play, and a kicker who gets paid alot of money to kick pigskin through a goal post and couldn't.
I can't get hyped anymore during the offseason. I have to be a more realistic fan and realize that a new offense will take time to gel...our defense will have some problems due to injury and our special teams suck (at the moment). I can't take the heartache anymore...Same script, different cast!

I truly believe the Redskins will be 11-5 this season. I know...Clinton and Shawn are hurt, however I'm going to be extremely optimistic this year (unlike previous years). Our wide-receivers definately upgraded this year, therefore creating lanes for Clinton to gain 1,600 yards this season. Our defense is incredible if we can stay healthy. Not having too much depth in the secondary scares me. What do you think?? I'll update as the season progresses!
