You are having a Super Bowl party... pizza is on the menu. You place the order at the start of the game... and at the end of the first quarter.. you are still pieless.

What to do?

Hope online and see exactly where your deep dish is.

And if you ordered from Domino's, you will indeed be able to do just that. The mega pizza chain just unveiled Pizza Tracker... technology that allows customers to literally track their pizza from the moment they place the order until it leaves the store en route to them.

Oh and here's the kicker... Domino's vows that its online tracking system - for phone or online orders - is accurate to within 40 seconds!

So here is my question... is this really necessary? Would you take the time to do this and even more... would you choose to order your pizza from Domino's just because they offer this cyber service?

I think Bob Sellers said it best this morning. "You have got to really want your pizza"

Necessary? No
Practical? No

Now if they were to install GPS tracking devices on the Pizza delivery vehicles and I could go to a overview of a map and see my Pizza heading in my direction that would be cool! But as I get it that's not the feature they are offering.
So if my pizza isn't delivered in a satisfactory time,(in the old days) I call the store and ask where it is. All they still would be able to say is it's out for delivery. Kinda pointless to be able to log on and see that the pizza is out of the oven and in a box and out of the store.

A waste of resources and a poor advertising gimmick. IMO

RED-DOG1, I have to agree with you. I think it is a lot easier, and MUCH better tasting to make your own. But that is just me.

No I'm not!

Holly quit making fun of me in your broadcasts. My father wasn't born in America. I am your neighbor. Ok, that's what it's like to be in London.

I'll do whatever Holly wants. You like Dominoes, I'll order Dominoes, you prefer Papa's because they have the dipping sauces I'll order Papa's.

Emmy award winning anchor/reporter Holly Morris started with WTTG in December of 1998. Her specialty is "live" TV, which you can see her doing on FOX 5 Morning News. Each weekday morning, Holly reports and often interacts live from somewhere in the community either covering a breaking news story, previewing an event, or learning more about all that is available in and around the greater Washington area. Holly can also be seen anchoring FOX 5 News at Noon. Holly's work has earned her 4 regional Emmys, three of which were for "Best Live Reporting". She also has a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Prior to her career at WTTG-TV, Holly was an anchor/reporter at WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky. There she won three regional Emmy's including one for best anchor and one for best feature reporter. If Holly ever gets tired of the early morning wake-up calls for FOX 5 Morning News, she can always fall back on the profession of engineering. In 1993, she graduated from Duke University with a degree in civil and environmental engineering. Holly is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio.
