Staying home and blogging more.

Having two big meals a day, instead of three, and grilling when possible, to keep the heat outside.

NOT watching the TV as much, reading and doing other stuff.

Larger wash loads, and hanging clothes outside to dry when possible.

Using the energy I get from laughing at Obama, to do household chores.

Hello...We are combining errands for the entire family into one when we are headed in one direction...same when appointments and errands are in opposite direction. We have Dad pick up the odd grocery items on his way home from work. During these semi-hot days we turn the central air off and run one small window AC unit which keeps the kitchen and breakfast room cool. We turn off lights in rooms we are not using. I've gotten into the habit of going to bed earlier and getting up earlier..that saves a bit of electricity because I'm living in daylight more than I was accustomed to...Hmmm. I'm beginning to act like old folks back at the farm. Maybe they had something there, huh?

I turn my TV off from 5am to 9am, 11 am to 12 pm, and from 10 pm to 11:30 pm.

Don't be greedy. Don't buy more food than you can eat; don't throw away food.
Buy the things you need, and use them til you wear them out.
Do your own chores. You, too, can wash your own dog, mow your own lawn, clean your own home, and cook your own dinner.
Don't grieve over what you don't have; enjoy what God has given you.

Uh...Reddog...psssst...ya'mean ya'don't watch the news? Sayyyy, now...that's smart...saves money on blood pressure medication, too.
