"Suicide voters. " - Conservative republicans who will vote/cheer/encourage Hillary Clinton ... IF ... John McCain gets the republican presidential nomination. That's the new terminology ... the new reality facing the GOP. Rush. Coulter. Swearing to support ANOTHER Clinton presidency, rather than rally behind what is an inevitable McCain ticket. Now ... I think I've heard it all.

No ... wait. I just watched two ultra conservatives ... Glen Beck/CNN Headline News and Larry Elder/Radio Host ... argue with EACHOTHER over why they (and in turn their viewers/listeners) should actually vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton. Here's Glen Becks' reasoning for his fans to vote Clinton vs. McCain:

1. Teach fellow conservatives a lesson.

 2. McCain doesn't get that we need tax cuts to stay in Iraq.

3. McCain wants to stop global warming.

Uh ... advantage Elder without opening his mouth. But when he did ... his simple stance was ... Supreme Court? Big government? Mandated health care? In other words Glen Beck ... you want moderate republicans and America to learn a lesson? So take Hillary for 4 years and smoke it??

Bitter. Bitter. Rating Mongering. Bitter. Hillary is sooooo good for Rush. Soooo good for Glen. Soooo good for Coulter. Millions of dollars. Millions of listeners. A windfall of attention and cash ... for all those ultra-conservative hosts who thrive on conflict. To the point they will sell out the party, the presidency, the direction of this nation for one term ... perhaps nearly a decade the way terms have gone lately.

There's truth to that old saying, "when the ship's going down it's every man for himself." I see a lot of selfish grabbing in the face of a sinking ship. Where's the character? Where's the leadership? President Bush famously said "I'm a uniter, not a divider." But what Rush & Coulter & Beck are ignoring about that honorable self-described trait ... was the SECOND sentence "I refuse to play the politics of putting people into groups and pitting one group against another."

That's exactly what the conservative airwaves are doing. Cannibalizing themselves. And throwing America under the bus in the process. Nice. Beware the "suicide voter." They don't care about this country ... they care about themselves.

don't know who developed this talking point but it seems to be runnin' through the media like you know what through a goose ...who in the h=ell thinks this crap up??? ...I mean I can see the two schools of thought on this but I really have to raise question in the value of it ...if you're so impressionable these people could sway ya than you're a pretty delicate flower to start with ...lets see Ann Coulter, the one who got the Edwards and f=aggot controversy roarin' and now a fate worse than Edwards has all of a sudden come along in Mcain that we've all missed ...I find myself siddin' with Rush's views more often than not, but I can see my own way through this ...

beagle_buddy, the sad reality is, in the coming election, there will be far too many of those "so impressionable these people could sway ya" types voting, they will
in all probability get HillBilly Clinton elected.
Lord help us all if she is.
I know this probably l not surprise you much, but I am also a Rush fan.

Starr, Lord help us period. Because none of these people should be ever elected President.
What gets me though, is voting for someone just so the other can't be elected. To me that is simply stupid. I can see voting for someone other then your parties candidate because you truly feel they are the better of the two, but to do so out of spite, what a waste of a vote.
Personally, I wouldn't want the job of President right now, cause look at the mess that is waiting to be cleaned up when the current administration leaves. Oye vaye!

I've said it before and I'll say it again the only candidate worth noticing is Ron Paul.Everything that he has ever been a part of gets raked over the Constitutional coals first. With the track record of both dems and repubs these days an attitude like that should automatically put him out front.IMO there is nothing that should be more important to the American people than their Constitutional rights. You think they would have that all figured out the way people gripe about the Homeland Security Act and the right to choose and all.
Now our worst nightmare happens.A whole country full of people dumbed down by liberal education and media standards voting in a race between a liberal and a "Rebublican" RINO.Well.there goes what's left of the Bill of Rights I reckon.Pray for this duck to break it's leg before it does too much damage.

I'm with you Mountaineerfan, that is where my vote will go on Tuesday...Lets just hope that there are a lot more of us here in Virginia.

I'm not sure if I'd be considered a suicide voter. I am an Independent so for me there is no such thing as voting outside my party line. To me the Democrats have nothing to offer and neither of them will get my vote. As I said Ron Paul is my choice. Mitt Romney was a distant second for me and McCain is not even an option. Last week I had been considering turning away from Ron Paul and giving my vote to Romney because he had a better chance of keeping McCain out. But now with Romney out as far as I see it I have only one choice in the primaries: Ron Paul. If it comes down to Hillary and McCain I will not vote for either. If it happens, I guess I'll just have to do a write-in...How abut Starrman for president? :)

I can't say I would vote outside of my party for spite. If they want to be stupid, by all means, let them.

I've voted outside my party, because I'm not a party line voter to begin with. But that being said, it wasn't done out of spite, I just preferred the other candidate to my own. Will that happen this time around, highly doubt it. Because the way its looking, my parties candidate is just as bad as the others. Sam, I'm with you regarding Hillary and McCain. Can't I vote for THE ROCK instead? ;-)

And you don't think having ANY democrat as president ISN'T SUICIDE??

I guess thinking is optional with the young and the liberals.
