Where do I begin?

This week's nominations are as easy as Bristol Palin.

1)  THE BLACK GOP REPRESENTATIVES:  The Washingpost reported on 09/04/08 about the disparities of the black republicants.  They reported that "only 36 of the 2,380 seated on the convention floor are black"  Former lieutenant governor of Maryland Michael Steele was quoted "It's hard to look around and not get frustrated......you almost have to think, 'Wait. How did it come to this?' "   LoL 

They further talked about how being at the convention and seeing all those white representatives step to the lectern was a visual reminder that no black republiCANT has served as governor, U.S. senator or US House member in the past six year.

DUUUUUUUUGH!!!!!!!  LoL  Did the black GOP representatives really think they were going to be treated fairly by the base party for the Jim Grow based laws, George Wallace, David Duke, and the whole segregation era?

2)  RUDY GIULIANI AND SARA PALIN: Now.....before you make a comment about being a "community leader/community activist,"  study the famous leaders that started out as a community activist.  Remember how they just laughed at Obama for his roots of being an activist?  Giuliani said "What?...ha ha ha ha ha community activitist?"  Sarah Palin said (in her aggrovating voice), "There isn't too much of a difference between a mayor and an activist except a mayor actually has responsibilities."  Remember that?  I do.

Let's not even list the THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN THE POLITICAL FIELD that started off as a "community activist." 

I'm just going to name two:

A) Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. = A holiday, changed the way the WORLD PROTEST, changed laws, and a statue in his honor. 

B) Jesus Christ = Resume speaks for itself!!!

Now tell me how would you figure that a "community activist" couldn't change things again? 

Palin....you are in trouble.  LoL

As we all know, voting has been the most powerful voice that you can have throughout American history!  Inside that booth, it doesn't matter if you are rich or poor.  At that moment, your power and influence are as equal as the next person.  It's more than just putting a person in office and changing a law.  Voting makes your voice heard in the area you live. 

For example, if I was running for office and I get elected.  Who will get most of my attention when a neighborhoods need something?  Will I give more attention to the section that only had a 20% turn out or will I give immediate attention to the section of the city that had an 85% voter turnout?  Not even a contest!

I remember as a child learning of my history about what blacks had to go through in order to vote when they were finally allowed to do so.  They couldn't vote unless they owned property, a grandson of a slave couldn't, and had to endure impossible written test (exp: "How many bubbles does the average bar of soap produce?).  People that had their "conservative" views that wasn't welcoming to the change of the black race achieving political influence would stand in front of the voting locations ready to spit, stone, verbally lash, and just flat out want to fight just to deny them their rights to vote. 

It even took women decades on top of decades/scores on top of scores to get the equal rights to vote.  Now look.....women and minorities control the results!!!!!

Fast forward to 2000 when one of the greatest voting scandles took place in Florida.  This issue of voter fraud took the election by storm and stalled the results for days.  Besides that, there were stories of people from (mostly demographic districts) being miss informed about where their voting location were.  There were threats (even in the new millinium) about not showing up.  Also there were pre-recorded messeges being sent to homes stating that they were not allowed to vote because of...whatever!  Some of these issues even transpired in 2004. 

During this time I learned a lot of the different state laws that involved prison voters!  There are states that will NOT ALLOW YOU TO VOTE if you have been sentenced to prison.  I bet they still have to pay taxes though!!!  Do you know that states like Vermont and Maine have a law that will allow prisoners to vote WHILE THEY ARE STILL IN PRISON but places like Michigan and Florida will not allow you to vote until you come completly off of parole? 

HMMMMMMMM.....I WONDER WHY?

I remember going to my regular voting  station in 2004 to receive a shock.  I WAS NOT LISTED ON THEIR SHEET AND THEY HAD TO WRITE MY NAME IN BECAUSE I DID DISPLAY A VALID REGISTERED VOTERS CARD!!!  Want to hear the funny part though?  My brother got his card when he turned 18 just like I did.  My brother never voted a day in his life, did time, and still came out to never vote.  His name was on the list!!!!  My sister lives in another state then and now....her name was on the list! 

I got another one for you.  This is what inspired me to write this blog right here.  I wanted to check my status so I got in contact with the voter's registerstration office TODAY to check my status.  Would you believe they didn't have NO RECORD OF ME!?!?!?! 

WHAT!?!?!? 

So people....please....CHECK YOUR STATUS TODAY!!!!!!!  RE-REGISTER TO VOTE TODAY!!!!  YOU DON'T WANT TO GET TURNED AROUND ON THE DAY OF THE ELECTIONS!!!!  They can't ask you how many bubbles are in a bar of soap anymore.....but that is not going to stop the "computer glitches!!!!!!"

     As I was looking at the RNC convention last night, I was laughing at a number of things that struck me.  The first thing I was laughing at was the sea of pink middle aged faces that were all over the place.  I mean really folks.....!  I've seen younger people at a denture grip convention.  I was thinking back to the DNC where the audience consisted of a diversity of black, white, latino, oriental, young, old, rich, middle class, and so on!  That represents the image of American to the world.  I focused my attention back to my remote control and the RNC because I didn't want to think I mistakenly stumbled on to an Edith and Archie Bunker support rally. LoL

     Speaking of "stumble," did you all hear Laura Bush chop through her teleprompted speech?  LoL  I mean really....!  She staggard more than a drunk leaving a bar at night  through a dark ally with blinders on. LoL  Besides that, her delivery was as stiff as the drink I had last week.  LoL  Now...compare that to another former first lady...I don't know...hmmmmm.....HILLARY CLINTON who had the crowed in a ROAR!!!

     Then came Bush by video.  I guess this was an attempt to further separate views that they are the same.  Yeah...ok!  Bush didn't disappoint me either.  LoL  He tried to explain how McSAME was an "independant thinker" by ending his point with "trust me...I know..."  IN THE VERY NEXT SENTENCE....Bush explained how last year when he wanted to add more troops to the battle grounds, everyone was against it but McSAME "went against popular opinion" voted for Bush's proposal to send more troops.  HELLOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!  BUSH...YOU IDIOT....YOU JUST SAT UP THERE AND TOLD EVEYONE THAT HE IS ANOTHER YOU!  LoL  A "Maverick?  Or..."SIDEKICK"

You can't have it both ways!!!!!!!

     Fred Thompson spoke and it reminded me that he was the ONLY republiCANT that I knew Obama would've struggled with...OH WELL!  LoL  Fred talked about (like everyone doesn't already know already) how this former P.O.W. withstood torture.  COOOOOME OOOOOOON!!!!  You're over doing it now now McSHAME!  Fred also talked about how McINSANE would change things in Washington.  Uhhhhh...Fred....?  How!?!?!?!  McSHAME doen't want to be be seen as another Bush but isn't giving us nothing different about "how" but continuosly giving us people talking about how he was a tortured P.O.W.! 

If you want to be seen as someone that changes Washington...give me more than just another "war story."

I'm going to wrap this up by briefly discussing the lady of the hour...Sarah Palin!!!

     I was looking at an old Cosby Show episode last night and that episode discribed Sarah Palin to a tee!!!!  It just hit like a ton of bricks!!!!   It was the episode where Venessa came home from college with her new (older) boyfriend that was a maintenance man.  Everyone gave Vanessa grief about the guy that just popped up.  As they learned more about him, they didn't like certain aspect about him.  It got to point where Bill's character finally put his (and everyone elses) opinion out there for the new man to know.  He asked the new guy "What's your favorite food?"  The new guy replied "Steak and potatoes." Bill's character explained "How would you feel if I were to take the steak and potatoes and put them on a dirty trash can lid and serve them to you?  Would you like that?" Of course the new man replied "no."  So Bill's character went on to further say "That's how we fill about you.  There is nothing wrong with you or what you do.  We don't care.  It's HOW YOU WERE PRESENTED TO US THAT'S CAUSING THE PROBLEM." 

BINGO!!!!

McINSANE is the one that is responsible for how some American voters view Mrs Palin!  McSHAME (pretty much) had the nomination all in the bag back in February/March.  As Obama/Hillary were going back and forth he could've brought her in around that time.  If his thoughts about her being a serious nominee were true, he should've brought her in the picture back in June!!!!  THAT IS WHY people like me feel that she's just a gimmick rather than a serious nominee!!!  This is why she is being ripped by the media!  After the historic speech by Obama...Palin was brought in and USED to take the thunder out of the speech.  This was done while the proper proceedures were still continuing.  Whether to get the female vote...or stir attention for his campaign....nothing good can come out of this.  Especially when you basically only had one major conversation with her up until the announcment.

McSHAME made it this way.....now Palin is going to bury herself!  HOW YOU ASK!?!?!

She is the one that posted her picture on a magazine with her baby.  She is the one that is trying to play on the hearts of Americans by bringing her children into the political game.  For example, she's using her down syndrom baby as a platform for her "ProLife" stance.  She is walking the whole family around the country and talking about family values.  SO YOU CAN'T GET MAD WHEN THE MEDIA IS CHOPPING UP YOUR 17 YEAR OLD DAUHTER FOR CREATING AN ISSUE THAT IS CLOSE TO THE HEARTS OF MILLIONS OF AMERICANS.....TEEN PREGNANCY!!!!!  You want to continue to push "No Sex Ed" in schools?

1)The Stanton Texas Drug Store Burglar!

On Thursday 8/14/08 a burglar from Stanton, Texas attempted to rob a  drug store and almost got away with it too.  One problem.  When he got to his getaway car.....HE REALIZED THAT HE LOCKED HIS KEYS IN THE CAR! 

2) The Lady in the Restarant! (As I called her)

My son and I was in a restarant in VA on Wednesday night.  It was a place that allowed kids unders 7 to eat for 50% off.  The lady's pretty little girl went to the restroom (I'm assuming with her aunt) for a minute.  The waitress appeared to the mother's table after awhile.  The waitress took the order and afterwards asked how old was her daughter.  The mother politely replied "She is seven."  Not knowing her daughter just appeared behind her, the daughter objected LOUDLY  "....uh uuuuh MOMMY...I'M 9!  HOW CAN YOUR FORGET THAT?" 

Needless to say I couldn't stop laughing.  LoL

3) John McSHAME's House Count!

Now you all know I had to go there!  LoL

How in the world can you forget how many houses you own?  Now....it's either 1 of 3 things.

a) You are getting too old! (in my opinion)

b) You are hiding something.

c) Like Obama said in response to this situation: "...I guess if you think being rich means you've got to make $5 million and if you don't know how many houses you have, it's not surprising you might think the economy is fundamentally strong."  Too True! 

In an economy where the middle class and celeberties are losing their homes, I guess YOU ARE unaware of how bad the enonomy is when you can't remember how many homes you own!  Are you kidding me?  Unlike the forum with Mr. Warren, I guess if the questions are not prepped for you to answer, it's hard to created a scripted answer!  LoL

Hello ladies and gentlemen.  As you know, every Friday I would read, see, or hear of a person or a group of people that would say or do something that is just stupid!

This week ladies and gentlemen, I have only one nomination.

1) Jerome Corsi - He is a (so called) author of books that smear mostly liberal/democratic views for the benefit of the conservative/republican minded circles.  His claimes are proven to be without merit and no base for support what so ever.  For example, during the 2004 presidential election he co-authored a book titled "Unfit For Command" that attacked John Kerry's contribution as a soilder in the Vietnam War.  His acusations were later proven to be false.  Those false claims on Kerry's contribution were really to deter the attention off of Bush serving in the Texas Air National Guard in order to AVOID serving in Vietnam.  This time around, he is (of course) turning his attacks on Barac Obama in a book called "The Obama Nation."  Like Corsi REALLY needs to damage his credibility any more.  LoL 

Of couse...there will be people that buy it. 

Someone in this blog community said something that I never forgot.  I never forgot it mainly because I hear people in the news and papers saying it all the time.  It goes "IF YOU DON'T LIKE A CANDIDTATE...YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND ANYTHING (EITHER BIG OR SMALL) TO JUSTIFY WHY THAT PERSON WOULD BE THE WRONG PERSON FOR THE JOB."  This can not be more true with the election that is going on now. 

I beleive now it's getting to a point where people are beleiving known lies just to push their points across.  Jerome Corsi book is already one of the best selling books mainly because it's pushed in more conservative circles that will buy in bulk to push up the sales count. 

Thanks to web sites such as "MEDIA MATTERS," these types of lies get eliminated from the start. I say the best thing for John McSHAME to do at this point is seperate himself from the mess that this book will create.  Follow the example of Obama when the rapper Ludacris came out with a single pushing for Obama but possesed harsh lyrics towards McSHAME, Hillary, and Bush.  Will McSHAME do this though? YEAH RIGHT! LoL  He might not agree with what's being said in the book, but any way of discrediting Obama and taking down his poll lead is fine with him.  LoL

EQUAL PRESS FOR EQUAL EVENTS!!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

     There were over 150,000 people attending The Stone Soul Picnic in Washington DC this past weekend that was totally beautiful.   There were people from all over having a good time, listening to live grammy winning artist perform, vendors were getting positive exposure, and no negativity transpired. 

     Now....where was the new's coverage?  Where was Holly with her little happy behind jumping around promoting the event?  Why was there any recongnition in the newspapers?  I got a few answers.  It was predominitaly blacks attending. It was held on the parking lot of RFK Stadium. The "infamous area of Trinidad" was about a mile walking distance away and nothing transpired.  So How is it that an even in Baltimore recieved more coverage than this one?  Here are my answers to that.  It was a mostly white rock event.

     Well....let just call a dog a "dog" and a cat a "cat."  There has always been a bias in the media when it comes to covering the events of certain demographics.  We all know that if one shot or fight would've taken place there then the news would've been all over it.  For example, a peace rally off of Nannie Hellen Burroughs Road in NE ended with  a group of girls going to jail.  No exsposure about what the rally was for.

     People, this is just getting outrageous.  If you are continuosly pushing negative images of a certain demographic then please show that demographic in a positive light.  For every negative that happens, there are positives that counter. Now...if you live outside of that environment and all the news show you is the negative, then you can imagine how that environment is viewed by the outsiders like Priveye....Y3Y3....MountaineerFan...Luvmybroom...etc...

Why do you think that the news find it more interesting to show black events in a negative light rather than a positive one?  Is it really too much to ask to have media cover the positives as well as the negative?

IT'S FRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!  So here's my "Morons Of The Week" nomination.

1) DC Officals That Over See the Summer Youth Jobs Programs - COME OOOOOON!!!!  This situation makes you just want to grab some idiot by the collar.  There has too many years with some of the same problems OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.  Seems like it's getting worse every year too.  I feel it will continue to happen unless we have people take the initiative and demand answers.  Especially parents.  

We can start by cracking down on the parents that have a child that lives in PG County but fleecing DC for this program.  That's where a large percentage of the money going.  They either use the address of a relative living in DC or they know someone that knows someone in the system that gives them the "hook up."

OBAMA 2008!!!!!!

This blog is usually written on Fridays.  Due to me leaving out of town on Friday, I'm writting this on Thursday.

For those that don't know about this, "Moron Of The Week" is a blog I (very recently) started that points out the bone-heads of the week for either what they said or did this past week.  It can either be someone famous or a common person that makes you just lower and shake your head because that person is just DUMB!

My 3 Nominees are:

1) Ted Steven!!!!  - The Senate's longest republican (figured that much) was indited on 7 counts of lying on Senate disclosure forms about knowingly receiving around $250,000 from the oil service contractor VECO!  This guy would have a new deck installed to his home and didn't think someone would catch on!?!?!?!?  BONE-HEAD!!!!!!

2) Jim D. Adkisson!!! - The 58 year old out-of-work truck driver openly shot up the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church killing 2 and seriously injurying 6 other.  His reason?  In a letter found in his SUV by an officer, Adkisson clearly wrote "...I hate the liberal movement..." I guess this is how conservative and republican minded people think.  If they can not do anything thing about you, they will lie (Sen McCain and Sen Stevens) or attempt to kill you like this nut-case did while CHILDREN were performing the play "Annie." 

3) Joseph Gude - If the name doesn't sound familiar to you, He is the father of the 18 year old kid who happens to be a recent high school graduate of St John's College High School in Bethesda were he was a member of the "rifle team and very excited about it" said his grandfather.  Colin McKenzie-Gude is in the news for having a "cache" of guns and materials needed to make explosives.  Someone informed police that this boy had all of these items in his home.  The police found these items when the home was raided.  The next day the boy turned himself in.  What does this have to do with the father you ask?  WELL...WHO DO YOU THINK GAVE THE BOY SOME OF THE GUNS!?!?!?  The father was charged with perjury for saying he didn't give the boy the weapons.  The father is facing charges for purchacing an illegal firearm and distribution of weapons to a minor when the boy was in his early teens.  This boy had a list of teachers from his old high school.  You all know what that was all about!!!!!  The grandfather (bless his old heart ...and brain) said "we shouldn't jump to conclusions about the list.  It could be a Christmas card list."   YEAH RIGHT ha ha ha ha ha ha ha  These people were raising a terrorist!!!!!!!!  How in the world a parent DOES NOT KNOW their child is making a bomb in their own home?  I mean REALLY!?!?!?

...but the winner is:

Sen. John McSHAME - For his continuous smear campaign against Obama.  Hey Johnny....cut it out.....your just embarrassing yourself worrying about what this man is doing.  Why would you complain about your "Lack of media coverage" but turn down and invite to speak a the 2008 Unity Conference.  It's a conferance full of JOURNALIST!!!  LoL

I have taken upon myself to set up the weekly installment of "Moron Of The Week."

This is where you can give your nominations and opinions for the biggest idiot of the week. 

It can be someone famous or an average Jane/Joe that you think deserves to have their name put out there because of something they said or did that was stupid.

This week, I have 3 nomiations:

1) The Residence Of The Trinidad Neighborhood  = Let me get this straight.  You are taking all this time and energy to file the neccessary paper work to get the police off or your block...but didn't do that to get rid of the thugs?  OMG!  Stupiiiiiiid!  Would you believe more people were murdered this years (so far) than the amount that actually showed up to a peace rally they were hosting on 7/24/08?  Unbelievable!

2) Sen. John McCain = For continuously attacking Obama on his knowledge of international issues.  Well McCain...not only did he go over seas to show that he's well intune with whats going on over there, he's being loved by the leaders, international media, and the citizens  themselves.  Clearly showing that he's the man to mend the riff that the Bush administration caused.  Now McCain is CRYING about the media attention that he's getting vs. Obama.  Did you see the amount of people in Berlin that came out to hear this man speak!?!?!   It's funny now McCain shifted his focus on domestic issues lately.  McCain was so desperate for media attention, he even put out a rumor about him choosing a VP.  The week is over now McCain...where is that person?  LoL

3) My Grandmom = For forgetting which jar she put the sugar vs. salt in.  Need I say more?  My son will never look at Kool Aide the same again and I will be left with a very interesting taste to my steak from this point on.  LoL

Who is your nomination for the "Moron Of The Week"  and why?

The comments that Charles R. Black Jr. made further supports our theory that the republiCANTS want to play the fear card to boaster their chances at the White House! 

The senior advisor for the John McSAME camp said "A terror attack on the United States would be a big advantage for Sen. John McCain in the presidential campaign."

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?

A stratagy to show that McSAME has a stronger knowledge of international policies is to have another terrorist attack on the US? 

Bill Burton (a spockesman from Obama's campaign) is looking foward to a debate about terrorism with McSAME and called the words of Mr Black "a complete disgrace."  Burton noted that McSAME has "fully supported the Bush policies that have taken our eye off of al Qaeda, failed to bring Osama bin Laden to justice and made us less safe."

Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del) is the chairman of of the Foreign Relations Committee.  He said "For the McCain campaign to say it would benefit politically from another 9/11 attack is disgraceful.  That Mr. Black would even think in those terms, let alone express the thought publicly, is very sad.     .......The politics of fear have no place in our national life." 

Is this what it has come down to in order to win the White House?  The killing of Americans just to move up on the polls?  Well...Bush is still in office and over 4,000 of our service men and women died over a war that  Bush pushed onto the Americans because of fear.

No Sen. McSAME.....I don't need any more of the same Bush BS!  Obama '08!!!!!

Was Mr. Black's comments taken out of context?  Is this a preview of what's to come if McSAME is elected?  Politics ran by fear?

You would think that Imus would know how to project his thought into the proper words by now.  As we all know, Imus previously came under fire for his comments about the Rutgers woman's basketball team.  We was later put back on the air waves. 

On 6/23/08, Don was on the the air and was told Dallas newly acquired defensive back has been arrested six times since being drafted in 2005.  Imus asked, "What color is he?"   When Imus was told that Adam 'Pacman' Jones was black, Imus clearly said "Well there you go.  Now we know."

WHAT!?!?!?!?

Later on, Imus attempted to clean up his mess by saying he was implying "...Jones as being targeted..."

REALLY!?!?!?

Here is my question.  Was Imus words being totally taken out to contexts?  Is Imus just showing us how he really is since he did it before?

Recently, Rhee fired 24 principals and 22 assistant pricipals.   Teachers are gettting thier pink slips also. 

Close your eyes.  You are an excellent educator.  Taught by the best schools.  You took on the challenge of teaching in an inner city school because you are confident in what your abilities are and feel you can make a difference.  You have a classroom full of underperforming kids.  For two years in a row, your kids failded to meet the federal standard set by "No Child Left Behind."  You are fired because of this. 

Is this really fair to the teachers or the principals?  Should they be fired for the kids lack of focus?  Is the blame being shifted in the wrong direction?  Well, Bush's "No Child Left Behind" act says it is.  Sen. John McSAME thinks so also. 

Would you fire good teachers and principals because the kids don't care? 

     I find Ward 5 to be one of the stranges locations in DC.  You can literally be on one side of the street that is clean and full of well-to-do people.  As soon as you cross the street, you can be in a haven for crime and drugs.  For example, in the NE Capital Hill side (near Maryland Ave for those that don't know) you have professional's of all ages.  Very hard working respectable people that care about their community.  Now....when you cross H Street towards the Trinidad area.....DUCK AND RUN!!!! 

     The past couple of weekends, Chief Lanier ordered a check point in certain areas of the Trinidad area.  This method was created to deter crime because (it is said) most of the crime was/is created by people that live outside of the neighborhood.  This is true with most of the crime that is commited in DC.  Some have welcomed the program with open arms.  The others have felt that their "civil liberties are being violated." 

     Now let me get this straight.  You feel somewhat violated because the police want to deter crime in your area?  How do you feel when the criminals are running rampid in the area?  We can all imagine which group feel their "civil liberties" are threatened.  The people that actually know the criminals!

     Like my grandmother once told me, "Everyone wants to go to heaven.  They don't want to do what they have to do in order to get there."  Some of the people that live in this area want their streets to be safer but don't want to go to this extreme to acheive this.  I'm sorry if some disagree with me on this one but you have to do what's neccessary in order to achieve a goal.  Sometimes the hardest decision is the best in the long run.

Do you think this is going too far?  Would you allow police to block off your neighborhood and check every car that comes through?  My answer?  Yes!!!
