You would think that Imus would know how to project his thought into the proper words by now.  As we all know, Imus previously came under fire for his comments about the Rutgers woman's basketball team.  We was later put back on the air waves.

On 6/23/08, Don was on the the air and was told Dallas newly acquired defensive back has been arrested six times since being drafted in 2005.  Imus asked, "What color is he?"   When Imus was told that Adam 'Pacman' Jones was black, Imus clearly said "Well there you go.  Now we know."

WHAT!?!?!?!?

Later on, Imus attempted to clean up his mess by saying he was implying "...Jones as being targeted..."

REALLY!?!?!?

Here is my question.  Was Imus words being totally taken out to contexts?  Is Imus just showing us how he really is since he did it before?

Imus is an overpaid arrogant AH that obviously will NEVER learn. And the radio loves him for the ratings. It all adds up to many things, and they are all.........$$$$$$$$

Its a stupid comment on its face because it assumes that Pacman Jones' behavior is a by product of being black. His behavior is a by product of his being an ignoramus who thinks, apparently, that his poop doesnt stink and so he can do whatever he wants. He should actually be in jail, not on a Dallas Cowboy's defensive line. Has nothing at all to do with his being black. I can name at least a couple of thousand black men that I know personally who have never been anywhere NEAR a jail, let alone behind bars in one. Don Imus appears to be a bigot, no matter how much he apologizes after the fact. If he were not, he wouldnt keep making blanketed statements that refer to an entire race of people when he should be limiting his impressions to the bahavior of the person that he is talking about irrespective of race.

madsmom....you sound like the typical NON-LISTENER of Imus, didn't hear his comment IN CONTEXT, but you hear what racist news readers WANT YOU TO BELIEVE. You sure don't have the facts.

Imus is far from being a bigot. His coment was that Pacman was arrested because he was black, and the police DO HAVE a record of such behavior.

DID YOU HEAR HIM THIS MORNING?

Did you hear ANY of the original conversation between Imus and Warner Wolf?

How about the comments from his TWO BLACK CAST MEMBERS of the Imus in the Morning Show?

Starr and MADsMom..... You should be ashamed of your uninformed opinions.

you sir, should understand what you read, and my comments stand. i have listened to Imus and dont care for him. in my opinion he is a bigot and no amount of your blather is going to change that.
Pacman Jones puts himself in situations that cause him to be arrested, period - has nothing to do with his being black.
i really couldnt care less what his other two black cast members think, they dont speak for me.

Personally I think we (all God’s Children) need to be more tolerant of each other as none of us can change our skin color nor anything else for that matter, as God created us just they way he wanted to. Now, with that aside we all know that there are some professional haters in this world , those who will never accept blacks as people, nevertheless it still does not make it okay to openly make racist statements., but that does not make it okay for some people to make the comments that they make. I find it rather disturbing that not only Imus but also other sports casters have deemed that Pac Man does not deserve the right to be called by his given name, well screw them, as it is his name and I am proud of the fact that this man is trying to change his ways. It should not matter what color he or she is if they are trying to change then we as people need to be supportive of each other as God gave us a second chance, why can’t we as people do the same. In response to your questions if it is not clear in my comments, no Imus said what he said and probably meant just that, somewhat as Y3Y3, who we both know, is a professional racist. He is a racist pure and simple and should not be allowed to have a radio show to spew his hatred as this country is in enough turmoil regarding race as it is, this needs to stop and people (all people, regardless of color, national origin, or religious beliefs) need to respect each other as we all bleed red which is the only thing that matters.

I am not sure if anyone expected anything different from Imus. What is mind-boggling though, is not his comment but the notion that he must take everyone in America for idiots. The CONTEXT of his communication tells the tale. Listen to the sound of his voice, the resignation in his response, and then place his words in context, and there you have the answer. Translated, Don Imus' comment meant "Oh, well what you expect? You cannot expect more from a pig than a grunt! They don't know any better!" The sad thing is that black people prove the Imus' [spoken as racists] in the world right all the time.

I bet if the answer to Imus's question, "what color is he?" would have been white. NONE OF THESE THREADS WOULD EXIST.
Wouldn't matter then would it.
GD double standard f---s!

HA, these comment crack me up. Grow up america, if you don't like it, don't listen. Imus isn't relevant, his statements don't resonate across america any other time, so why let it now. If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound? Hell yeah if you brodcast it on every TV an Radio station across the county. I say let his listners listen, don't decide for them.

bits...so sad...you are now name calling, and making assumptions about people YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. Your continued racist nonsense, missing the points others make, and your inability to get past your assumed past makes you worthless in most conversations. Your over-sensitivity to anything YOU in your twisted racist brain, think degrades you, when it's YOU that degrade you just BECAUSE OF YOR RACIST/Black-centric sub-culture. You sure think you are much smarter than reality. LOL

And bits, Since when did you ever get that distiction between "Bigot" and "Racist" straight?

Y Speak, Y Talk, Y Breathe:

I call them as I see them and you have made comments on this board that are worse than Imus can even dream of and as you know I could care less whether you, Imus or any other professional racist like me or not! God Loves me and that is all that matters, I cannot change the color of my skin and my people was good enough to build this country so your lilly white butt can enjoy the freedoms while at the same time, you and your KKK friends decided that me and my people were not really whole, just one third, now do I have it straight or not!

Like I said before, I beleive when Imus was trying to explain the context of what he said after the fact, it "appeared" to be more or less a "damage control" manuver more or less than a honest correction. His reputation set that for him though.

Wow Lilbits

Your a little too racist to call someone out on Racism, its like a blind person getting mad at a blind person because they can't see. Also, don't clump all white people together with the KKK because your democratic friends decided to form a little club and wear bed sheets on horses.

Wrong DCtune1.....they people that formed the KKK were overly conservative that sided with the views of the republiCANT interest.

DCtuneout.....

First of all, did you know that both parties Democratic and Republicants are both KKK members which formed in 1924 I believe as one was more tolerant of the hateful crimes while the other thought that only certain crimes against a certain race was acceptable. Now, it does not matter if you or anyone else thinks that I am a racist but the KKK still exists today, and the Black Panthers were murder, so what does that say about this country. I did not clump all white people together with the KKK, I was speaking to Y Speak, Y Talk or Y Breathe but if you want to put yourself in that category, then be my guest. If the shoe did not fit, why did you try it on, just asking?

No, the KKK was form by members of the democratic party, the republican were the ones who abolished slavery, Lincoln was rebublican and it was his party that led the movemet to abolish slavery. It was the democrats, who voted mostly against it, that formed the klan.

For anyone who wants to read this, try it you might like it:

I cannot understand for the life of me why we as people cannot see each other as just that, “P E O P L E” regardless of color, creed, or national origin as not one of us can change our skin but can change our WAYS! There are plenty of you on this site who seems to think that blacks have issues in dealing with the truth, well the truth is that each race seems to think they are better than the next, well we are all in the same damn boat, travelling the same damn river without paddles, now people, let us realize who we really are, CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH, and all are related somewhere, somehow. Let us realize that this IMUS BLEEP is just an avenue of working out our differences so that we can live in a world that was created from the beginning because unlike some of you, I AM LOOKING FOR CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN ( Mr. Obama, please forgive me for using your slogan but it fits)!
I am asking everyone on this site and around the world to take a few minutes to learn something new about another race as we might learn something unique about each other. Who knows it might surprise the racist of the racist that I, you, or someone else may share a common denominator such as liking Jack Daniels per se, just an example. Seriously, this latest racist battle should open the lines of communication so that we as people can fix what is wrong in the world, which only amounts to everyone wanting the title of MVP but few understand that title was given away over 2000 years ago and just as HE saved me HE also saved you!

cont'd....

Instead of thinking that just blacks are responsible for crime, let us find avenues to rid the world of all crime and maybe, just maybe, we can open our eyes to see that this is also an issue that has a negative affect on all, not just one color. Many may have trouble with my words and many may think that I am just talking to talk, but I am speaking from the heart as I am sick to death of this race BLEEP and it must stop and the only way for that to happen is to have a open dialogue which is one of the reason I started blogging on this site.
So where do you stand, not just white, not just black, but all of us can FIND CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN (another apology Mr. Obama, but again it fits)! Can we learn that not just blacks need a hand but everyone should be their brother’s keeper, and just as God loves you so do I!
