Well, guys.  I don't know about you, but I just have to shake my head and whimper.  For the first time ever, the television was on Cox Channel 8 when the news came on.  My attention was drawn to the comments by the reporter stating the law passed over a decade ago regarding the barring of aids carriers from entering the United States was being repealed.  The bill is being presented to the House, I believe, and Bush has indicated that he will sign it.  Part of me feels we should care for the sick....but the logical part of me recognizes that our poor, overburdened health care system cannot handle an influx of aids patients.  It seems to me that the law was passed when boatloads of Hatians with high numbers of aids came here to escape Aristide and his death squads...they were sent back supposedly because aids was found in 90% of the boat people.  My question is...If they had aids THEN....they still DO....and since we have found medications  to extend lives at this point, can we, american citizens, afford a potential influx of aids patients who would be glad just for the opportunity to have their lives extended? By doing away with this law, are we opening the door to sick people who cannot be productive members of society?  Is this a further burden on a dying system now?

Could possibly be the "death Blow" to the whole "emergency room medical system". Just visit any hospital's emergency room for the answer, then go upstairs and have a talk with the Hospital Administrator. Ask them how they see things if this law is repealed.

The average CITIZEN will never be able get into an Emergency Room if the law is repealed. Joe and Jane taxp[ayer are now paying throught the you know what for the illegals that fill up the ER's daily, I can't even afford my health insurance premiums now;
Medi-Care $100 a month, and secondary insurance that costs $410 dollars a month.
Oh W-T-F, bring them on in, I don't need to eat or pay MY bills, I don't mind pizzing my money away on THEIR families.......U-F-B!!

I know what you mean. I have the distinct feeling that someone..or group...outside this country owns our entire government...and the name of the game is to destroy the United States of America. If we have ANY politician or financier or braniac who knows how to fix this, where IS he/she? We are so close to the edge on everything now that I see no way to bring us back to prosperity. Starrman...I see the day when the sick and elderly will simply die or be euthanized. We have lost our country.

This is of course under Nanci Pee-Lousy's watch along with Hairy Reed. not surprised, as it's just another way the liberals are ruining our country.

Y3, we all have to look at the fact that the democrats are involved; however, so are the republicans. Why would Bush say, "present the bill and I will sign off on it?" I believe interests outside this country have bought our whitehouse, candidates, banking system...and our military leaders are just as quiet as our political leaders. Y3, you mentioned George Soros to me. I would like your opinion on something that occurred recently that got my attention...Starrman, myresponse...you guys, too. I was at the Sterling DMV with "my boy" a couple of days ago, and noted a table outside the building loaded with pamphlets and documents. When I saw the name, "Lyndon Laruche" I almost kept going...but I spied a booklet with George Soros' name on it. I have never taken Laruche seriously and, as such, never paid any attention to him...however, this time, he makes so much sense that I'm STILL reading and re-reading..and I believe he may very well be right. I'm going to try to get a blog written and post it in the "political" section today or tomorrow. If he IS correct, everyone in this country is skrued BIGTIME!

Soros has great propagandist's working for him, and Lyndon SCREWBALL LaRouche is a bigger nutcase but also writes propaganda pamphlets where you will notice technical innaccuracies, mis-use or archaic use of certain words and phrases etc etc etc.

By the way Ave, Sterling's DMV is very slow. I have been going to Leesburg. Then I can stop by Mom's Pies on the way back. Mmmmmmm!

well what do you expect ...Rev Wright set the course for this ditty ...ain't none of us hunkies dumb enough to take the fall for this all on our lonesome ...

...the next step should be to grant an exception so a group home to house the AIDs afflicted can be built on the lot next to Wright's new home palace ...then it'd just a short walk for him to travel to the suffering...

...Starr this ain't about citizen rights it's about left extremists and just plain dam idiots playin' their stranger than fiction games ...
