Well, today I read an article in Time magazine wherein the writer, a man, who declared that he felt air conditioning should be cut out....at the very least we should raise the temperature in homes to 75 degrees or better.  As a woman who went through menopause some years ago, the one thing that has never left me has been hot flashes, and a dangerous disposition when the temperature goes above 60 degrees.  My husband and son know the dangers of tampering with the thermostat in our home....if they are cold, they know to put on a sweater.  I've often wondered how women survived before the advent of precious air conditioning.  I am still turning over a just and painful punishment for the Times writer who would cast me into the pit of hades at more than 60 degrees.

Wow! Now someone is encouraging Global warming! I wonder what old Al will say about this?

As far as 60 degrees goes, that is just too cold. I wonder if your husband and son could stand up against you on any issue? Probably not.

Yep...they can and do...but not air conditioning. I have to laugh. A few years ago a friend of mine who could not handle the heat (no menopause...just her internal thermostat) got up early one morning and fixed breakfast for her family. She called everyone to the table and noted that her husband was wearing his parka and gloves. When my son was around the age of 6 (I am a writer and was deep into a project in my study) he walked into my study wearing his jacket and said, "Mom...have you seen my snow pants?" He was being funny, of course. You see, they stay upstairs in their studies and rooms. I stay downstairs with additional window ac units in order to tailor the cooling for the whole family...it works. Al probably goes home and turns his air cooler on hot days as well. Also...what's the beef myresponse? You cannot communicate without making spitty remarks? Gee, that's too bad.
