Well, folks. Before Osama...er, uh, Obama left for the middle east, Israel and Germany, I heard some knot headed reporter comparing him to JFK. I heard her speak of the Berlin Wall and JFK's wonderful abiity to become one with German citizens when he said, (and bear with my spelling), "Ich bin eine Berliner!" I winced as this addle-brain said that. It is a fact that what JFK said to the German people that day was, "I am a doughnut!" Well, sure as blazes, I was watching the news and danged if "Osama" didn't say in a speech to German youth at a rock concert regarding terrorists, ....if they grew up in HAMBURGER, and trained in..........someone should tell the dummy that the town he was TRYING to speak of is HAMBURG, Germany. I guess he WOWED those German youth....just like JFK did at the wall....at least once they stopped laughing. Any wonder europeans think we are an odd lot.

Spoke with my mom the other day. She indicated three (3) families in her general vicinity had had burglaries....the items stolen are unusual. It seems someone(s) is/are stealing home canned (frozen) freezer contents. It is the season for the purchase of peas, butter beans, okra, squash and corn...as such, freezers are stuffed to the gills....with expensive (as much as $30 per bushel) and time consuming (peas and butter bean shelling/corn husking and silking) veggies. Many times, the elderly spend much of their social security checks on summer vegetables for their winter tables. It is interesting that they are NOT taking jewelry or cash... only food in the freezer. This is sad...are we at that point that we have to leave an armed guard at our homes at all times to protect....GROCERIES???

Until just recently I knew nothing about George Soros. I'd heard the name, but nothing more. A couple of days ago I was at the Sterling DMV office and on a table completely covered with pamphlets, booklets and info sheets, I noted a "George Soros" document. I took one and have been reading and re-reading and have found, shockingly so, that it answers a lot of questions about this country's desperate issues that are being ignored by our government. The document was prepared by Lyndon Laruche's PAC...you need to know that. As far as I know, he isn' t still running for president...however, he does have something to say and we should all listen. He says Soros is a speculator who is the unnamed money source for Obama...we are talking hundreds of millions of dollars. He indicates Soros owns the DNC and is the guy who paid off Dean to plot Hillary Clinton OUT of the nomintion so that his "boy" gets the whitehouse. Laruche (his PAC..political action committee) indicates Soros and the people he represents (Soros seed money back in the 40's was provided by Rothschild...hmmm, of "tripartheid" fame?) are responsible for the major problems in Russia...remember that there was little food, no medical care for the citizens, no military, no jobs.....and on and on...the same in Poland. The purpose of stripping the PEOPLE of everything is to rebuild into something quite scarey....and it is NOT a democracy. It is no accident that our country is falling apart and no one seems to notice...not our politicians, not our military, not our economists, not our planners and educators....no one "appears" to know what to do. Laruche says they do NOT know what to do. The Soros booklet indicates this is how Soros works...when we have nothing and are starving in the streets he gives us another government...one that is currently working now to "sever the relationship between business and the workers" in order to create a "slave worker" environment. Soros seems to already have hold on all else...he seems to have no conscience. I don't like what Laruche says about this dude...have any of you heard of such a thing? Laruche's thoughts make a heck of a lot of sense...it cannot be an accident that we are headed down in a plunge that seems to be bottomless. I am deeply concerned because he says it is too late to save the international banking system...it is already bankrupt, and the only thing holding it together right now is consumer confidence...the system is gone. We sit like sheep...and no one is doing anything. I know nothing of international finance. Thoughts?????

Well, guys. I don't know about you, but I just have to shake my head and whimper. For the first time ever, the television was on Cox Channel 8 when the news came on. My attention was drawn to the comments by the reporter stating the law passed over a decade ago regarding the barring of aids carriers from entering the United States was being repealed. The bill is being presented to the House, I believe, and Bush has indicated that he will sign it. Part of me feels we should care for the sick....but the logical part of me recognizes that our poor, overburdened health care system cannot handle an influx of aids patients. It seems to me that the law was passed when boatloads of Hatians with high numbers of aids came here to escape Aristide and his death squads...they were sent back supposedly because aids was found in 90% of the boat people. My question is...If they had aids THEN....they still DO....and since we have found medications to extend lives at this point, can we, american citizens, afford a potential influx of aids patients who would be glad just for the opportunity to have their lives extended? By doing away with this law, are we opening the door to sick people who cannot be productive members of society? Is this a further burden on a dying system now?

Fabulous news for Hillary supporters. It seems there are lots of blog sites and other internet sites that are demanding a floor count at the convention for Hillary et al. The corrupt DNC buzzards, Dean and Leheay are in a bit of a twit....they should be FIRED by their constituents and never allowed to run for ANY office...not even critter catcher.....EVER AGAIN. I vote YES, we want a nomination and a floor count at the convention and "UP" the DNC's nose! Let's see some HONESTY out of the corrupt DNC for a change. Wouldn't it be great to have such an exciting convention that OPENS the door to a party BY the people, FOR the people and OF the people???? The crooked buzzards would not know what to do....YES.....we want open nominations and a FLOOR COUNT.

Hey, guys...I'm sure you've seen the New Yorker Magazine's cartoon cover with Barack wearing muslim garb, Michelle dressed like a terrorist carrying an AK-47 and a picture of Osama bin Laden on the wall burning an American flag. There may be other great "funnies" in the cartoon.... Isn't it interesting that Obama can't take the heat.....he's busting a gut with anger over the cartoon. Awwwww. I think New Yorker is merely expressing Obama's information as we heard it, in cartoon format. What's wrong with THAT? Oh...I think Michelle and Osama...er, uh Obama are knocking fists in the good old black power salute in the cartoon???? This a GREAT cover for the New Yorker....

Hey...see the news today folks? Seems Obama has stated that when Americans travel outside the U.S. that we are an embarrassment to him because we don't speak other languages. I guess he thinks we only visit Mexico because he says we should all learn to speak Spanish. Caramba! Senor Osama...er uh Obama es muy loco in la cabeza. Pobrecito.......I wonder how many black americans have the time and inclination to rush out and take Spanish classes? Or us "whiteys"...or other working stiffs? Unfortunately, that buzzard does not have to work for a living...the rest of us DO. This is what happens when fools begin to believe their own press.

Well, my fellow Americans, within the next ten years we may not be able to communicate outside our front doors. My mother INSISTS on referring to "zucchini" squash as "zusheenie." A first cousin is named "Cheryl Ann," and my mother has called her "Shirley Ann" for ten years, now...no one knows why, but when we attempt to get it straight with my mother, she says, "Well, I like my words...not those others that you say." So...with this small example, we sigh and allow her to have her own names for people and things....starting with, "Podge a hole in that....hammer that stob (staub...post)...turn yonderway (whichever street THAT is)...ya'll coming for dinner? (lunch)" ...and the proverbial explanation for a fender bender, "Well, I put the dingus in reverse, wham, hit the side of the house, and Claude's mad as hell." Aren't these moments the best of humor...but the worst of the english language? Your family have folks like this? Bet they do!

Well, folks, this country is just about as looney tunes as it can get. According to the news, in Los Angeles, there is a lawsuit to open the airport terminal to gun toting....yep...it is thought that we should all be allowed to carry guns up to the gates. I envision a batch of terrorists finding MORE victims available in the terminal area at one time than on a plane. DUHHHHH. When I read something like this I have to control myself or I will begin to foam at the mouth......we HAVE lost our minds.

Well, today I read an article in Time magazine wherein the writer, a man, who declared that he felt air conditioning should be cut out....at the very least we should raise the temperature in homes to 75 degrees or better. As a woman who went through menopause some years ago, the one thing that has never left me has been hot flashes, and a dangerous disposition when the temperature goes above 60 degrees. My husband and son know the dangers of tampering with the thermostat in our home....if they are cold, they know to put on a sweater. I've often wondered how women survived before the advent of precious air conditioning. I am still turning over a just and painful punishment for the Times writer who would cast me into the pit of hades at more than 60 degrees.

Today I watched an analysis of just how dangerous these times really are. FoxNewsNetwork provided an overview of the situation. For those who have strayed from watching the news for whatever reason, it appears that Israel has warned Iran that they must cease and desist from completing their nuclear program or they will bomb the site. It is estimated that Iran will be making plutonium in one year or less. Iran has responded that if Israel strikes, they will close the Straits of Hormuz (sp?). The U.S. has responded that if Iran closes the Straits, that would be considered an act of war and WE will respond accordingly. The analysts have said that if Israel waits, until after the U.S. election, they cannot be certain of Obama's reaction...i.e. support. McCain, a republican, would, most certainly, support Israel. It is my opinion that each and every one of us would support Israel in going after Ahmadinejad and his threats....however, with the oil problem as it is, it is estimated gasoline at the pumps will shoot to between $8 and $10 per gallon. If Iran closes the Straits, not one drop of oil will come out of the middle east. That leaves us with Canadian oil, U.S. oil, Mexico and possibly Venezuela. I am heartened that McCain is in Colombia...even though it is said he is discussing "trade" matters. Question....we all fear WWIII starting in the middle east....but, until we have gotten our act together, do we have the troops and weaponry to take on Iran? Can we afford NOT to?

As a 64 year old American, I've been around for awhile, yet still observe strange phenomena. I've wondered about just how shrub was pressed into his candidacy...he may be a sweet man, but he is more than a couple of fries short of a happy meal. This time out of the gate I've been observing both candidates and, like most of America, I don't get it. McCain is a sweet man who is known for his bad temper...Obama has friends that no one in their right mind would allow their kids to associate with....yet both are vying for the top position in our country. When I consider what I wish to see in a president, I cannot see that in either candidate. Yesterday, I purchased Fareed Zakaria's "The Post American World." In a quick scan of the book cover I note that Zakaria says, " The challenge for America is political decline, for as others grow in importance, the central role of the United States has to shrink." He further states, "Washington needs to begin a serious transformation of its global strategy, moving from the dominating hegemon to a role that is more like an honest broker. It must seek to share power, create coalitions, build legitimacy, and define the global agenda....all formidable tasks." On the surface, Obama may have been "identified" by power brokers to accomplish the U.S.'s "global agenda." This man has been educated in a terrorist creating muslim school, a top american university, he rubs elbows with dissidents (Wright, Farrakhan, Ayers and others), he is part black, part white, he is young and appears very healthy, he clearly has handlers which are shaping his "image"..which means he will not be likely to rebel when given instruction by the "power brokers." The list goes on as efforts to create this man evolve. There is some BIG MONEY and POWER behind Obama. Unfortunately, I do not see this man as having my best interest at heart....it is scarey. Your thoughts?

Can anyone tell me what happened on Route 7 last night? The accident scene had wrecked cars over a stretch of Route 7 from the eastbound (toward Tysons) lanes at Beulah, continuing past Wolftrap Rd., and ending at Towlston with an SUV ripped apart with rear wheels a hundred or more feet behind the vehicle. The westbound lanes of Route 7 had damaged cars. This was about 11:00 last night. There were dozens of police cars, a paddy wagon with folks in it, and ambulances....a really bad scene. My first reaction was....racing? Possibly high speed tire blow out or an auto mechanical failure at high speed.....Surely there was some really high speed involved...one vehice was almost cut in half. Does anyone know? Y3..you live in Sterling and travel Rt. 7....do you know?

GIMMEE A BREAK, DNC! The whole danged world knows that your entire game is to prevent Hillary Clinton from receiving the delegates the Florida and Michigan voters GAVE HER. EVERY SINGLE CITIZEN IN THIS COUNTRY IS WATCHING YOU OVERTLY TELL HALF OF HILLARY CLINTON'S VOTERS THAT YOU ARE GIVING THEIR VOTES TO OBAMA! Since the democratic party has had so little respect for the people of the United States of America and its own members, I sincerely hope the people of Florida and Michigan make an example of you by leaving the democratic party en mass and forming an entirely new party. I hope, nay, I pray, that every single current democrat takes a long look at what OUR party has become and joins in organizing a political party that REPRESENTS US, AND ONE THAT KEEPS ITS HANDS OFF OUR VOTES! The corruption you have shown is unacceptable and unforgivable. I am ashamed of what the democratic party has done to a candidate...MY candidate. The DNC is a DISGRACE! I HOPE AND PRAY, LEHEAY AND DEAN, THAT THE CITIZENS IN YOUR STATES SEE WHAT YOU ARE AND VOTE YOUR KEESTERS OUT OF OFFICE AT THE NEXT OPPORTUNITY! YOU ARE TRULY SLIMEBALLS!
