Hi everybody...this morning (5/16) we had a story about Portia DeRossi and Ellen DeGeneres getting married not that California has ruled the ban on same sex  marriage unconstitutional.  Anyway my brush with Portia DeRossi some seven years ago (while the actress was on Ally McBeal) was brought up on the show and I said I would blog about it.

I'm making good on that..sort of.  Let's just say she wasn't that nice to me after I complimented her on how cute her dogs were that she was carrying.  I was bothered by her diva attitude back then but these days it's taught me a greater lesson.

Sometimes you carry grudges against people who have NO IDEA that they have offended you.  She doesn't know me from a hole in the wall but I took it personally.  The lesson for me here...forgive, it much easier than carrying dislike in your heart.

I forgive you Portia and myself for holding a stupid grudge.

I took the time to look this up after hearing you this morning and now you go all w.w.j.d on us..What a cop out. I thought you had more gumption.

Allison, I compliment you on your desire to drop a grudge that was, at best, counter productive.

Sometimes these foreigners, since Portia is an Australian, should return to their roots instead of infecting our nation with their issues, BUT that would sound like I've got a grudge!

I really enjoy you on the news but -

1. I also expected more of an explanation about the incident with Portia.

2. Allison, Allison.. you're a journalist please check your copy before posting so that things like:
"not that California has ruled the ban on same sex marriage unconstitutional" (did you mean 'now'?)

and

"forgive, it much easier than carrying.." (did you mean 'it's'?)

I was sad to see those errors on a journalists blog

Allison Seymour joined the WTTG-TV family in September of 1999. You'll see Allison on FOX 5 Morning and noon news. She came from KDNL-TV in St. Louis, MO. After graduating from Hampton Institute University, Allison worked as both a desk assistant and a production assistant at the Washington Bureau of ABC News. She also worked at WTTG-TV as an assignment desk trainee. Her first on-air job came in the winter of 1993 in Utica, NY. She worked at WUTR-TV as a noon anchor, reporter and assignment editor. From there she went to Binghamton, NY, at WBNG-TV and worked as the main anchor. Her next career move was to Albany, NY, to help launch WXXA-TV's FOX News at Ten as the main anchor. Allison is from Washington, DC, and was educated in the public schools of DC and Maryland and is is thrilled to be back in her hometown close to family and friends. Allison is married to Marc Clarke the morning show host at 92.3 WERQ- FM in Baltimore. They have three daughters, Sydney, Skylar, and Spencer and a beloved dog, Shelby.
