What's going on with Jason Castro?!  On Tuesday night he delivers two crazy performances...including one where he forgets the words (has he ever done that?) and the other where he doesn't barely even sing.  When it came time to vote it looks like he mouths the words "don't vote."  Well America didn't deliver those votes he needed to stay in the competition but I felt like he was actually relieved.

I know there are some purists who have a problem with American Idol in general, but it is a trememdous platform for young musicians to make a big impact on the music world.  Jason blew that chance.  I just wonder was he just not into it or if the competition just got to be too much.  I just don't think he took it seriously and that's too bad.

I'm so glad that he is finally off the show. He is the only participant that I saw yawning, both backstage and on the stage in front of a live television audience. His vibes definitely said "I don't want to be here."

It was so obvious that Jason was ready to leave. It's a good thing America granted his wish, because he outlasted so many others who deserved to be there more than he did at this point. He is very talented, and he made a very impressive start, but over the past few weeks, he has been yawning on the air, coming unprepared to mentor rehearsals, and last week, he just slipped into "I don't care anymore" mode and performed like it was open mike night at a local bar. I just hope Jason gets his mojo back before the tour. He could have a great career, if he starts dedicating himself again.

Allison Seymour joined the WTTG-TV family in September of 1999. You'll see Allison on FOX 5 Morning and noon news. She came from KDNL-TV in St. Louis, MO. After graduating from Hampton Institute University, Allison worked as both a desk assistant and a production assistant at the Washington Bureau of ABC News. She also worked at WTTG-TV as an assignment desk trainee. Her first on-air job came in the winter of 1993 in Utica, NY. She worked at WUTR-TV as a noon anchor, reporter and assignment editor. From there she went to Binghamton, NY, at WBNG-TV and worked as the main anchor. Her next career move was to Albany, NY, to help launch WXXA-TV's FOX News at Ten as the main anchor. Allison is from Washington, DC, and was educated in the public schools of DC and Maryland and is is thrilled to be back in her hometown close to family and friends. Allison is married to Marc Clarke the morning show host at 92.3 WERQ- FM in Baltimore. They have three daughters, Sydney, Skylar, and Spencer and a beloved dog, Shelby.
