Ok, one thing is clear after last night's American Idol results show.  It is definitely a popularity contest and not a singing competition.  No way Carly and Syesha should have been in the bottom two and NO WAY Carly should have gone home.

Period.

I can't believe Jason has never been in the bottom yet.
Every week same exact lame stool sitting and mono tone singing.
I was happy Brooke's fans stepped up and kept her in.

If Jason had been voted last night (like he should have!) I would have been dead on with my Top 5 picks from way back when.

We all know David Cook should win and I really think it should come down to Brooke or David C.
David A is annoying and sounds the same every week too. But all the 13 year old girls will vote and vote and vote. I read on the AI forums of some people posting they voted over 1000 times for a singer. I think it should be restricted! That or only allow voting for the one you think was the worst!

I am still in a state of shock. To think that Jason and Brooke are still in the competition and someone with great potential is gone, is mind boggling. Next week American Idol is going to compete with another show I'm involved in--I may decide to abandon American Idol (something I have not done in five years).

There is such a thing now know as DVR VCR and even Tivo. You don't have to miss anything no adays. I usually DVR Ghost Hunters since the new season started last week and watch it with my morning coffee.

Although I think Brooke, Sayesha or Jason should've left last night, I look at it this way. Unless David Cook totally screws up in the next couple of shows, I believe he's going to win. So at this point in time, it really doesn't matter who leaves each week.

reality_check, I believe you are right on the money. I really can't invision David C screwing up enough to make him lose. I think the finale will be the two Davids.
Red-Dog1, I know about VCRs; I also know that the last time I used mine it ate the tape, so I have to make a trip to the WalMart to buy a new one.

How come news anchors make threads but never respond to them later??
